Fund Summary:
Fund Size: $50 million USD
Number of Investments: 30+ Pre-Seed and Seed stage tech-enabled companies, with follow-on potential into Seed, Series A, and B
Geographic Focus: Sub-Saharan Africa & Latin America
Investment Period: 5 years for initial investment, up to 7 years for follow-on investments
Follow-On: Approximately 65% of the fund is reserved as follow-on investments
Technical Assistance: $5 million in grant capital for post-investment support / technical assistance via the Venture Platform to be used over the lifetime of the fund
Fund Structure: 10 year closed end fund plus two 1 year extensions — potential for blended finance and catalytic capital structures
